Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29,1958, the eighth child to AfricaAmerican working class family, Indiana, in the Chicago. His mother, Katherine Esther Scruse, was Jehovah's Witness, and his father, Joseph Walter Jackson, a steel mill worker.
